Welcome Tack Burbank to the BIC Board

BIC is thrilled to welcome Tack Burbank as the newest member of the BIC Board.


David “Tack” Burbank grew up on a farm in Bristol County, MA. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1970 and Harvard Law School in 1974.

After law school, Tack and his wife, Christine Burbank, moved to Pittsfield where they have resided since. They have two daughters and five grandchildren.

Tack was a partner in the law firm of Cain Hibbard and Myers. He left the practice of law in 1994 and since has been engaged in a statewide mediation practice, specializing in civil litigation matters. He has served on the Boards of several human service organizations, most notably the Christian Center Board of which he was President for many years. He founded the Berkshire chapter of the Lawyers Alliance for Nuclear Arms Control and conceived of the West Side Promise Neighborhood initiative. Tack is committed to the pursuit of social justice, locally and nationally.
