Presentations & Workshops
BIC is committed to educating and empowering immigrants and the broader community by providing essential immigration-related information through our presentations and workshops.
In addition to offering public presentations regularly, we provide private presentations and workshops to local organizations, businesses, schools, and community groups by request.
Topics Include:
Know Your Rights: Learn about essential legal rights of immigrants, how to handle interactions with law enforcement or Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and resources to stay informed and prepared.
Immigration 101: Understand the basics of the immigration process for people coming to the United States.
About BIC: Learn what services we offer and who we are able to help.
Custom Presentations: If you are interested in learning about a different immigration-related topic, contact us to arrange a custom presentation.
Format
We typically schedule hour-long sessions to allow for presentations of roughly 45-minutes followed by a 15-minute question and answer session. We can also accommodate longer or shorter events and offer the flexibility to provide presentations in-person or virtually as needed.
Fees
All public presentations that we organize are free of charge to ensure broad access to this information. For institutions or groups requesting a private presentation, BIC charges fees to help sustain our ability to provide educational resources. These fees help cover staff time required for planning, preparation, travel, and materials such as printed handouts.
Language Access
BIC is able to deliver presentations in English or Spanish, and can often accommodate less-common languages with sufficient planning time.
To arrange a presentation, please contact Education Director Donovan Snyder at donovan@berkshireic.org.
We encourage you to contact us at least one month before your anticipated event date to begin planning. We’ll do our best to accommodate last-minute requests whenever possible.
