BIC Welcomes Saruda Simonson to the Board
BIC is thrilled to welcome Saruda Simonson to the Board.
Saruda Simonson was born in Thailand and immigrated to the US in 2013. She holds an MBA in finance and began her career with a Japanese Bank before moving into leadership roles with international NGOs in Asia, managing major donor grants (USAID, DFID, EU, UN) and strengthening financial integrity across country offices. She worked directly with refugee communities in Asia and Africa.
In New York, Saruda supported INGOs and a grant-making organization, helping African partners build operational capacity before funding. At Columbia University, she worked with NIH grants and private foundations. She also holds a Cornell University certification in nonprofit financial success. She moved to the Berkshires in 2022 when her husband joined Berkshire Medical Center, where they are raising their 10-year-old son.
Saruda is excited to join the BIC board, bringing both her professional expertise and personal immigrant experience.
